Bhagwant Rasulpuri is a prolific author. Among his eight short story collections are ‘Chanan di Leek’ (1992), ‘Main, Shaitan the Indumani’ (1997), and ‘Teeja Netar’ (2005). To his literary credit are two children’s books – ‘Raje de Insaff’ (2014) and ‘Sanjhe Wahde de Bute’ (2014). The Book Trust of India has published three of his translated works. 

He founded a monthly literary magazine in 1999, titled ‘Sur Sanjh’ and the quarterly 'Kahani Dhara' in 2006. He regularly writes for Punjabi and English newspapers.
