Jinder

Jinder is a resident of Jalandhar city. He has a master's degree in English from DAV College, Jalandhar. He is now retired from his position with the Punjab State Transport Department. His writing journey began in 1992. To his credit are eight short story collections, two travelogues and an autobiography. His stories are included in the syllabus of Guru Nanak Dev University (Amritsar), Punjabi University (Patiala), Maharaja Ganga Singh University (Bikaner) and other colleges. Much of his literary work has been translated and published in numerous Indian and Pakistani languages including Urdu and Sindhi. He is the recipient of Gurdev Singh Birha, Bhathal Kahani Award, Translation Award of Sahitya Academy Delhi and Harbhajan Singh Halwarvi Yadgar Award.
