Balbir Parwana (Jalandhar, Punjab, India) is an influential writer, translator, editor, and researcher. He is well-versed in the history of political movements that have shaped Punjab’s culture and politics. He is a skillful novelist, having produced fifteen novels to date. Among his acclaimed books are ‘Punjab Di Naxalbari Lehar,’ ‘Amber Vall Udaan,’ ‘Pind Da Dard,’ ‘Banjar Dharti’ and ‘Pagadhi Sambahal Jatta.’ He currently is the editor of the literary section of the Punjabi newspaper ‘Nawan Jamana.’
